Final Project: Type Specimen Ad

Here is my final version of my type specimen for typeface Futura. For the final project in my typography class we had to use our type specimen to create a collateral campaign for our typeface. This is just the poster, more from my complete campaign later, Enjoy!

Ad + Type = Magic

Italian Advertising agency (H-57) created these three magical posters using the nerd passion for Star Wars and type as shape. Essentially this ad agency is advertising themselves and doing a darn good job at it too.

I really admire Typographer, Designer and Illustrator Jessica Hische and her typeface here was recently featured in an Old Navy commercial. Her style of design is truly very beautiful, very decorative and completely indicative of the glamorous 1920s. So when typography and advertising decide to mix some more, I really hope its done by Jessica Hische.

My dad is a wood refinisher and although minimal design like this is technically unfinished I can appreciate it for what it is. and I am just in love with wood. period.
